From doctors to philosophers, they all wanted to know the truth about this so called third eye and delving deeper, it was eventually discovered that the third eye was possibly linked to the pineal gland. The pineal gland is also linked to enlightenment, however; high seratonin levels produce feelings of wellbeing and tranquility and the pineal gland needs seratonin in order to create melatonin, thereby, enlightenment could easily be the chemicals in our bodies creating this enlightenment which would in fact be linked to the pineal gland.
